There are direct thermal printer for Thermo Ink Printing on special type of paper called thermo chromic paper or commonly known as a thermal paper. The image produced on this thermal paper by heating the selected regions, so that the required print is obtained. The areas on the coating turns black in the region where is heated by the print head of thermal printer.

Thermo Ink Printing is produced by a printer having an ink delivery system enabling rapid changes and increasing operational speeds when changing between full color, highlight color and monochrome mode of operation. In reply to selection of a desired mode, ink supply systems connected with meticulous cartridges are selectively purged and interconnected to ink supply systems of the colored inks, which will be used in the selected prepared modes.
